Project Spotlight

In Mumbai, where time is money, commuters spend 7% of their day traveling. The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), India’s longest sea bridge, now connects Mumbai to Navi Mumbai, significantly easing this burden. This engineering marvel, featuring Orthotropic Steel Decks (OSDs) with spans of 90-180 meters, reduces travel distance from 40 km to 22 km and cuts travel time from 90 minutes to just 30 minutes.

This project not only enhances travel and connectivity from Mumbai to Panvel and Pune, but is also expected to boost the economic growth of neighbouring Raigad District. Further, its proximity to the proposed Navi Mumbai International Airport and Jawaharlal Nehru Port / Nhava Sheva port, allow for future projections in travel, connectivity and convenience. TPL is proud to have contracted by MMRDA for the design and build of this iconic bridge.

We're thrilled to announce the milestone at Line 3 of the Pune Metro, stretching 23.3 km from Civil Court to Megapolis in Hinjewadi. This elevated line features 23 stations and operates at a top speed of 80 km/h. Key achievements of the project include

  • Erecting 51 viaduct spans in a single month
  • Installing 16.5 km of viaduct spans in just 24 months
  • Erecting 10 station girders in 8 months
  • Casting India’s longest portal at 33.5 meters for a double-decker flyover
Our efforts involved 4.5 lakh cubic meters of concrete, 82,000 MT of steel, and 898 piers, supported by a dedicated workforce of 4,500. These milestones set new benchmarks in metro construction and underscore our commitment to excellence in predictable project delivery.

Tata Projects successfully completed Shri Damodaram Sanjeevaiah Krishnapatnam Supercritical Thermal Power Plant epitomizing our engineering prowess and dedication. Equipped with state-of-the-art supercritical boiler technology, it maximizes efficiency and reduces emissions, setting a new benchmark for thermal power generation.

Sanctioned by APGENCO and executed by Tata Projects, this plant is a marvel of innovation. From its intricate coal conveyor network to its unique desalination system it ensures reliable energy supply and minimal environmental impact. The plant not only achieved zero accidents and over 72 million safe man-hours but also planted over 100,000 trees to ensure ecological harmony. Designed for longevity and operational excellence, the Krishnapatnam Power Plant is poised to support India's growth for decades to come and is testimony to our commitment of ‘Building Projects that Build Our Nation’.

Tata Projects is proud to have been part of a landmark achievement of setting up India’s largest solar module facility. First Solar, a 3.3 GW solar module manufacturing factory in Chennai is a fully vertically integrated facility, spanning a built-up area of 212,000 square meters on a 127-acre plot. This magnificent project created waves in terms of timely project delivery and was completed in just 18 months! It encompassed EPC of civil and structural steel PEB works, along with essential services such as electrical systems, switchyard, HVAC, FPS & PHE, and utility services. The factory produces First Solar’s Series 7 PV solar modules, developed in the US and tailored for the Indian market and is at the core of India’s green energy manufacturing initiatives.

TATA Projects Limited constructed a 100-seat Government Medical College and Teaching Hospital in Keonjhar, Odisha. The project encompassed the engineering, procurement, and construction of 25 blocks (18 Buildings), including a 500-bedded teaching hospital, an academic building, an auditorium, staff quarters, hostels, and various infrastructure facilities such as roads, drains, outdoor sports area and WTP, STP & ETP treatment plants. The project aimed to create a comprehensive medical and educational facility with a robust infrastructure.

This project was done on EPC basis in the Healthcare sector and will contribute immensely to the community in the area. Inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Odisha, this project was completed in a short timeline.
